vanillaroots.com is run by Vanilla Roots, an independent publisher of guides for people who buy vanilla. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Vanilla Roots. You can reach us through our support page.
By using this website or buying from it, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders.
Paddle takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies, and issues your receipt. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the payment. The licence to use the guides you buy is between you and Vanilla Roots, and is set out in section 4.
Our products are digital publications: guides in PDF, some with companion files in Excel, Word or PDF. Each product page lists exactly what the download contains. A bundle contains the titles listed on its page, in the same editions as the single titles.
When you buy a guide, we give you a licence to use it. You don’t buy the copyright. Each guide is licensed to one purchaser, for use in that purchaser’s own business.
The first page of every guide says exactly what you may do with it, for example print it, adapt its templates for your own contracts, or send its checklists to your own suppliers. Those permissions are part of these terms.

Our guides, articles, price data and calculators are general information for buyers of vanilla. They aren’t legal, customs, tax, financial or food-safety advice, and they don’t create a professional relationship. Rules, duty rates and prices change. Check anything you rely on against its primary source, and with a qualified adviser where the stakes are high.
We try to keep the site and its free tools, such as the landed cost calculator and price history, available and accurate. We provide them as they are, and we can’t promise they will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
Please don’t misuse the site. That includes trying to reach files or orders that aren’t yours, scraping it in bulk, interfering with how it works, or using it for anything unlawful.
All text, illustrations, data tables, templates and design on this site and in our guides belong to Vanilla Roots, unless stated otherwise. Standards and other documents we refer to belong to their publishers.
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for any purchase is limited to the price you paid for it. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for business decisions, contracts or shipments based on our content.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer.
We may suspend or cancel an order and its download links where we see fraud, a reversed payment, or a breach of the licence.
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you buy applies to that purchase. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
Vanilla Roots is based in Indonesia, and these terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. If you’re a consumer, you also keep any protection the law of the country where you live gives you, and you can bring a claim there.
